Book Review: Six Of Crows

"No Mourners, No Funerals" - Six Of Crows

Six of Crows is an amazing book about a hilarious but dangerous adventure of six people who could not be more different than the other.

SYNOPSIS
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone.
Dirtyhands Kaz Brekker, no one but a boy with a terrible past, trying to make his way by whatever means necessary.
Inej Ghafa, Suli lynx, a girl enslaved by a pleasure house, fighting for a better future for others like her.
Sharpshooter Jesper Fahey, couldn't complete college but found comfort in his guns and a terrible gambling addiction, just looking for some fun.
Heartrender Nina Zenik, with a dangerous love for waffles, wants nothing but to protect the Grisha and Matthias.
Wylan Van Eck, son of a wealthy but cruel merchant, looking for a way to forever escape his past.
Matthias Helvar, a fjerdan witchkiller who has fallen in love with a 'witch'.

REVIEW

Six teenagers trying to pull of an impossible heist to achieve their own definition of freedom.
The story is a perfect mix of undying loyalty, friendship, overcoming prejudice and fighting for the right thing. Each character has their own motive for the heist but when it  matters none is afraid to back the others.
The comfort each character radiates is what makes me love this book. With Kaz's never ending sass, Inej's kindness, Jesper's idiocy and jokes, Wylan's unexpected bravery and intelligence, Nina's never ending love for food and Matthias's grumpiness this books hold your attention on every single page.
The book inspires you to fight against all odds and win (by a breath). It teaches you to overcome your fears (how much ever time it takes).
Each line, each word, holds you in such a trance that you cannot put the book down. Each twist and turns makes you hold your breadth. You feel like you are fighting and joking alongside the Crows.
Bonus, each character has amazingly good looks ;)
